& Registered Finnsheep!
Meet Our Finns!!
The purebred Finns are by far the friendliest and most easy to manage breed of
sheep we have found to date.  They make excellent starter flocks due to their
VERY FRIENDLY PERSONALITIES, VIGOROUS HEALTH AND TOTAL EASE OF
LAMBING!  We have never encountered a problem with a Finn ewe at lambing
time and besides being very low maintenance and lovable, Finns have exquisite
fleeces that hand spinners will pay a premium price for!

****************
Our Finn girls are very friendly
and demanding of attention,
even if it means by
Boogaloo-the Border Collie!
They come running to the fence
whenever they see him and all
stick their noses through the
wire for him to lick them!
Right::
This is "WHITNEY" but we call her "STRIPPER"
because of the way she loves to dance on the
fence poles. We would consider her an
embarrassment if she wasn't so darned cute!
Left:
"STRIPPER" (On the pole again!)
and right below her is
"RHIANNA" and next is
"CLOUD". "CLOUD" is a true
non-fading grey! She was born
a soft lilac grey color and that is
the color she has remained. Her
fleece is incredible!
Right:
Boogaloo (The dog) is
cleaning the noses of the
girls. He thinks it is his job
to keep their eyes, ears
and noses clean and they
love it. "ANGRY BIRD" is
the light brown ewe.  She
also has an amazing fleece
that is the color of coffee
with cream!
Left:
"LAURIE JAMES" was named after a
very good friend of ours because of
her beauty and incredibly sweet
temperament.  "LAURIE JAMES" has a
very soft and highly lusterous fleece
that will dye beautifully and spin up
nicely.  Her fleece will be available
for sale when we shear next spring.
Above:
"ADELLE" is one of our favorites and a spoiled rotten little bratty-girl!
"ADELLE" thinks that she is a dog. She happily goes for walks and loves going
to the Farmers Market to meet all the children and get free cookies!  "ADELLE"
is a gorgeous soft black and has an incredibly springy and vibrant fleece. At just
four months of age her fleece already boasted a 5" staple! "ADELLE" is
expecting lambs this fall from our white ram (who carries both a brown and
spotted gene) "JESSEE JAMES"!  These lambs will offer great fertility genetics!
ADELLE is herself a sextuplet and JESSEE JAMES is a quintuplet who is sired by a
septuplet!!

Beau-Peeps Sheep has purchased our dream retirement farm up in
Mariposa County, California!  We will be travelling back and forth to
farm while it is under construction every other weekend and can
deliver lamb(s) you purchase from us up to Mariposa for a small
delivery charge. This could save hundreds of miles of driving
time/gas for our Northern & Central California customers!
We are hoping to be moved and up there full time by early 2016!

SHEEP FUN FACT

Sheep Are Healthier
When Kept Outside

Shade should be
available during hot
weather. You’ll save on
bedding and have less
manure to haul, both
of which save money.

Also, watching sheep
outdoors in a pasture
setting is about the
best stress reducer
there is for humans!
SHEEP FUN FACT

Cut Your Feed Costs By
Using All Available
Pasture

If pasture is limited,
can more be rented?

Neighbors may even
let you use theirs free
just for the “mowing.”
Be sure the fencing is
reasonably secure and
predator problems are
minimized
SHEEP FUN FACT

Water is your cheapest
and most valuable
food source. Keep it
ice free in the winter
and shaded in the
summer. Feeding loose
sheep mineral as
directed is essential to
avoid expensive
deficiency problems.
Use only mineral
formulated specifically
for sheep with its
lower copper levels.
SHEEP FUN FACT

The Best And Cheapest
Way To Expand Your
Flock Is To Keep Your
Best Ewe Lambs

Choose from
early-born twins,
triplets or quads who
were born and nursed
easily from productive
mothers. Make certain
they are structurally
correct and otherwise
sound and healthy.
SHEEP FUN FACT

Remember your sheep
should be working for
you, not the other way
around! It’s time to re-
evaluate your
operation when you
find yourself spending
too much non-
productive time
dealing with flock
health and
management
problems.

They should both
make you a profit and
be enjoyable to own.
SHEEP FUN FACT

Pumpkins are great
food for sheep and
they love to eat them.

The seeds are said to
have an effect on
parasites by helping
eliminate worms from
the stomach as the
seeds are digested and
passed on through the
system.

And likewise pumpkins
LOVE growing in sheep
poop, making it a
WIN/WIN situation!
